The European Conference

The European Conference is a project to prepare European youth for Confint, the international Conference in Brasília in June 2010.

Apart from all technical stuff and all content-oriented work – both are of course very important! – we hope you’ll have some fun logging on here and discussing with those you’ll meet soon when you travel to Brazil in June.

Before we travel, we would like you to discuss with all the other European delegates and with selected experts on the key issues of the conference in Brazil:

Let’s take care of the planet!

A special focus lies on climate change, the ongoing global warming.

All of you have taken part in the making of a national charter of responsibilities. We would like you to discuss your charters with the other European delegates!

The conference starts on Wednesday, 5 May, 14:00 in most European countries (Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Spain). If you live in Portugal, conference start is at 13:00 your local time, and if you live in Greece, it will be 15:00.

You can discuss all your questions with all the other European delegates. Furthermore there will be experts online. Ask them your questions! (And be prepared to answer their questions!)

The final phase of our European conference is very important, please note its date and time in your calendar and make sure you can be there all the time. We would like to have a very intense discussion then. The final phase takes place on

Tuesday, 11 May, 15:00 – 21:00.

This is so in most of the participating countries.

(Again, if you live in Portugal, it will be 14:00 – 20:00, and in Greece 16:00 – 22:00).

Registration:

If you want to take part in the European Conference, please register. The European delegates for Confint are strongly asked to register and take part in the conference, however, we are open to everyone who is interested in taking part in the process. For registration click the link on the starting page http://www.agenda21now.org/europeanconference and follow the instructions. Make sure you have a valid e-mail-address.
